<코인베이스, "내년 알트코인 약세장 예상">

 

미국의 가상화폐 거래소인 코인베이스(Coinbase)가 지난 12월 20일(현지시간) 내년 시장 분석 보고서를 통해 알트코인의 약세를 점쳤다. 알트코인은 비트코인을 제외한 나머지 가상화폐를 의미한다. 코인베이스는 ‘2023년 가상화폐 시장 전망(2023 Crypto Market Outlook)’ 보고서에서 알트코인에 투자하려는 시장 참여자들의 의지가 올해 시세 하락세로 인해 심각한 영향을 받았다고 밝혔다. 알트코인에 대한 시장 참여자들의 투심이 완전히 회복하는 데 몇 달이 걸릴 것이란 게 코인베이스의 의견이었다. 코인베이스는 오는 2023년 시장 참여자들의 투자 선택이 비트코인과 이더리움 등 주요 가상화폐로 몰릴 거라고 내다봤다. 생태계의 성숙도와 상대적 시장 유동성의 요소를 기반했을 때 가상화폐 투자자들이 비교적 안전한 자산을 선호할 것이란 게 코인베이스의 분석이었다. 코인베이스는 디지털자산의 다음 시장 주기가 기업을 대상으로 하는 규제 표준 개발로 이어질 것으로 관측하기도 했다. 코인베이스는 “올해의 극적인 가상화폐 관련 사건들은 앞으로 몇 년 동안 시장 환경을 형성할 것이다”라며 “그러나 기관의 가상화폐 도입은 여전히 확고하게 자리를 잡고 있으며 많은 투자자들은 장기적인 관점을 취하고 있다”라고 말했다. 시장 불황에도 일부 투자자들은 현재의 환경을 사용해 지식을 키우고 미래를 준비하기 위한 정보 인프라(기반구조)를 구축하고 있다는 게 코인베이스의 설명이었다. 코인베이스는 현재의 가상화폐 시장 상황이 지난 2019년부터 2020년 초까지의 상황보다는 낫다고 덧붙였다. 특히 에프티엑스(FTX) 거래소가 파산한 지난 11월 이전까진 미국 증권시장과 비교해도 나쁘지 않았다는 것이 코인베이스의 입장이었다. 가상화폐 업계에는 에프티엑스 파산이 자산 펀더멘탈(기초체력) 문제가 아닌 사람 및 기업으로 발생한 인재로 보는 시각이 존재한다.

Coinbase, a U.S. cryptocurrency exchange, predicted the weakness of Altcoin through a market analysis report next year on December 20 (local time). Altcoin refers to the rest of the virtual currency except Bitcoin. Coinbase said in its "2023 Crypto Market Outlook" report that market participants' willingness to invest in Altcoin was seriously affected by this year's market decline. Coinbase's opinion was that it would take months for market participants' investment in Altcoin to fully recover. Coinbase predicted that market participants' investment choices will flock to major virtual currencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum in 2023. Coinbase analyzed that cryptocurrency investors would prefer relatively safe assets based on factors of ecosystem maturity and relative market liquidity. Coinbase also predicted that the next market cycle of digital assets will lead to the development of regulatory standards for companies. "This year's dramatic cryptocurrency-related events will form a market environment for the next few years," Coinbase said. "However, the institution's introduction of cryptocurrency is still firmly established, and many investors are taking a long-term perspective." Coinbase explained that despite the market recession, some investors are using the current environment to build information infrastructure (infrastructure) to develop knowledge and prepare for the future. Coinbase added that the current virtual currency market situation is better than the situation from 2019 to early 2020. In particular, Coinbase's position was that it was not bad compared to the U.S. stock market until November when the FTX exchange went bankrupt. In the virtual currency industry, there is a view that the bankruptcy of FTX is not an asset fundamentals (basic physical strength) problem, but a talent caused by people and companies.
