도널드 트럼프(Donald Trump) 전 미국 대통령이 출시한 대체 불가 토큰(NFT) 상품이 하루 만에 완판 되며 450만 달러(한화 약 58억 5000만 원)가량의 수익을 거뒀다. 트럼프 전 대통령의 대체 불가 토큰은 지난 2022년 12월 15일 폴리곤 블록체인을 기반으로 발행됐다. 폴리곤 기반의 트럼프 대통령 대체 불가 토큰은 총 4만 5천 개 출시됐다. 출시가는 99달러였다. 트럼프 전 대통령 상품은 발행 이후 인기 몰이에 성공했다. 12월 19일 현재 대체 불가 토큰 거래소인 OpenSea에서 0.2899이더리움의 시세 최저 가격을 기록 중이다. 0.2899이더리움은 금일을 기준으로 국내 가상화폐 거래소인 코빗에서 45만 5722원의 가치를 지닌다.

트럼프 대통령의 대체 불가 토큰은 출시 열두 시간 만에 모두 판매된 것으로 확인됐다. 상품 완판을 통해 트럼프 대통령은 일차적 수익을 거뒀으나, 대체 불가 토큰 거래의 경우 오픈 시 등 거래소를 통해 2차 거래 시 원작자에게 수수료를 전달한다는 점에서 향후 더 큰 금액을 거둬들일 수 있을 전망이다.

대체 불가 토큰은 트럼프 전 대통령이 만든 소셜 미디어인 ‘트루스 소셜(Truth Social)’을 통해 출시됐다. 당시 출시는 미국 인터넷 사용자만 대상으로 지정했다는 특징이 있었다. 대체 불가 토큰은 미국의 슈퍼 히어로 캐릭터인 슈퍼맨과 카우보이를 연상시켰다.

The irreplaceable token was released through "Truth Social," a social media created by former President Trump.
