글로벌 암호화폐 가격이 일제히 폭락하고 있다. 글로벌 2위 암호화폐 거래소인 FTX의 '뱅크런'(대규모 예금인출) 사태가 발생한 것이 투자자들의 불안요소를 자극한 것으로 분석된다.
2022년 11월 9일 글로벌 암호화폐 중계사이트 코인마켓캡에 따르면 이날 오전 7시 기준 비트코인은 24시간 전보다 9.9% 떨어진 1만8658달러에 거래되고 있다. 1시간 전인 오전 6시에는 1만8273달러까지 떨어졌다. 이는 2020년 11월 이후 가장 낮은 수준이다. 같은 시간 시가총액 2위 암호화페인 이더리움도 전 거래일보다 15.5% 빠진 1335달러에 거래 중이다. 이밖에 도지코인도 22.6% 하락한 0.088달러에 거래되고 있다. 이는 암호화폐 거래소 FTX가 유동성 위기에 빠지면서 뱅크런 우려가 부각된 탓으로 풀이된다. FTX는 최근 관계 회사의 재정 부실설로 코인 인출 사태가 발생해 유동성 위기에 시달렸다.
여기에 세계 최대 가상화폐 거래소인 바이낸스도 지난 10월 6일 FTX 자체 가상화폐인 FTX토큰을 전량 매각하기로 하면서 불안 심리가 더욱 가중되고 있다. 이런 뱅크런 우려는 암호화폐 산업 전반을 흔들었고, 가격 폭락의 원인이 됐다는 관측이다. 상황이 이렇자 FTX토큰 가격도 폭락했다.

At the same time, Ethereum, the second-largest cryptocurrency company in market capitalization, is also trading at $1,335, down 15.5% from the previous trading day. In addition, Doji Coin is also trading at 0.088 dollars, down 22.6%. This is attributed to concerns over bank runs as the cryptocurrency exchange FTX falls into a liquidity crisis. FTX recently suffered a liquidity crisis due to a coin withdrawal scandal caused by financial insolvency of related companies. On top of that, Binance, the world's largest virtual currency exchange, also decided to sell all of FTX's own virtual currency, FTX Token, on October 6, adding to anxiety.
