비트코인 반감기 이전 비트코인의 사상 최고가 경신 기대감이 나오고 있는 가운데 반감기 전 랠리는 단기 이익 실현의 좋은 기회라는 주장도 제기됐다. 비트겟 리서치의 수석 분석가 라이언 리는 코인데스크에 보낸 메시지에서 “반감기까지 54일 남았고 금년 중반 연방준비제도의 금리 인하가 예상되는 상황에서 비트코인은 5만 달러에 지지선을 확보하고 있으며 3월에 역사적 1억 이상까지 오를 수도 있다”고 전망했다. 비트코인 반감기와 관련된 역사적 상승 추세, 기관의 구매 수요, 그리고 고조된 시장 분위기가 비트코인이 내달 기존의 사상 최고가 경신 전망을 뒷받침한다. 한편 헥틱 랩스 CEO 브라이언 레전드는 “반감기 기대감은 항상 구매 활동 강화 내지 좋은 기회를 상실할까 두려워하는 심리로 이어진다”면서 “투자자들은 공급 감소가 가격을 상승시키고 반감기 이전 랠리는 새로운 긍정적 분위기를 갖고 새로운 황소장에 기여할 것으로 예상한다”고 밝혔다. 레전드는 “그러나 실제 반감기 이벤트에 이르기까지의 랠리는 단기 이익을 실현하기에 좋은 시기”라고 덧붙였다.

While expectations are rising for Bitcoin to hit an all-time high before its half-life, some argue that the pre-half-life rally is a good opportunity to realize short-term profits. "With 54 days until the half-life and the Federal Reserve expected to cut interest rates in the middle of this year, Bitcoin has a support base at $50,000 and may rise to more than a historic 100 million in March," Ryan Lee, chief analyst at Bitcoin Research, said in a message to CoinDesk. The historical uptrend related to Bitcoin's half-life, institutional purchase demand, and heightened market mood support Bitcoin's prospects for a new all-time high next month. Meanwhile, Hectic Labs CEO Brian Legend said, "Half-life expectations always lead to increased buying activity or a psychology of fear of losing good opportunities," adding, "Investors expect a drop in supply to drive up prices and the pre-half-life rally to contribute to a new Hwangjang with a new positive atmosphere." Legend added, "However, the rally leading up to the actual half-life event is a good time to realize short-term profits."
