트레이딩뷰 자료에 따르면 현재 시장에 유통되는 암호화폐의 시가총액이 지난 2023년 4월 14일 1조 2600억달러로 10개월 만에 최고치를 기록했다. 이는 2022년 5월 알고리즘 스테이블코인 프로젝트 테라의 붕괴로 시장이 폭락하기 이전 수준을 회복한 것이다. 당시 스테이블코인 테라UST는 미 달러 대비 심각한 디페깅이 발생해 사살상 가치가 모두 사라지면서 총 400억달러 이상의 투자자 손실로 이어졌다. 또한 이 충격으로 암호화폐 시장 전체 시가총액이 한달 사이 1조6000억달러에서 8000억달러 이하로 급감했다. 2023년 들어 암호화폐 시장은 비트코인이 최근 3만달러, 이더리움이 2000달러를 돌파하는 등 빠른 회복세를 보이고 있다. 암호화폐 시장 전체의 시가총액은 1조 2600억달러로 정점을 찍은 후 주말 동안 1조 2300억달러 수준으로 소폭 후퇴했으나 한 주를 시작하는 시점에 다시 증가했다.
