<JP모건 "주식 줄이는 대신 금 사고 현금 보유하라">
미국 최대 은행 JP모건 체이스가 투자자들에게 최근 경제 상황을 감안해 주식 보유를 줄이는 대신 금을 사고 현금은 보유할 것을 권고 했다. 2023년 5월 23일 블룸버그 통신에 따르면 마르코 콜라노비치가 이끄는 JP모건의 투자전략팀은 자신들의 포트폴리어에서 주식과 회사채 비중을 줄이는 대신 현금을 2% 늘렸다. 상품 포트폴리오 내에서는 안전자산 수요와 부채한도 관련 리스크 헤지 등을 감안해 에너지 관련 자산을 팔고 금 매수로 전환했다. 이 같은 포트폴리오 변화는 JP모건의 방어적인 투자전략의 일환으로 답보상태인 부채한도 협상과 경기침체 위험 증가 매파적인 미 연방준비제도(Fed·연준)의 입장 등을 감안한 것이다.

On May 23, 2023, Bloomberg reported that JPMorgan's investment strategy team, led by Marco Colanovich, increased cash by 2% instead of reducing the share of stocks and corporate bonds in their portfolios. Within the product portfolio, energy-related assets were sold and converted to gold purchases in consideration of demand for safe assets and risk hedges related to debt limits. These portfolio changes are part of JP Morgan's defensive investment strategy taking into account the stalled debt ceiling negotiations and the hawkish stance of the U.S. Federal Reserve.
