<비트코인 현물 ETF 승인>
미국 증권거래위원회(SEC)가 10일(현지시간) 가상자산(암호화폐) 비트코인 현물 ETF(상장지수펀드)를 승인했다. SEC는 이날 성명을 통해 그레이스케인, 비트와이즈, 해시덱스 등 11개의 비트코인 현물 ETF를 승인했다고 밝혔다.
이번 승인은 기관 및 개인 투자자들이 비트코인을 직접 보유하지 않고도 세계 최대 규모의 암호화폐에 투자할 기회를 제공하게 된다. 또 변동성 등을 이유로 당국의 규제 대상이 돼 흔들렸던 암호화폐 업계가 반등할 기회가 될 것으로 예측된다.
<Bitcoin Spot ETF Approved>
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved a virtual asset (cryptocurrency) bitcoin spot ETF (exchange-traded fund) on the 10th (local time). The SEC said in a statement that it has approved 11 bitcoin spot ETFs, including Grace Kane, Bitwise, and Hashdex.
The approval will provide an opportunity for institutional and individual investors to invest in the world's largest cryptocurrency without directly holding Bitcoin. It is also expected to be an opportunity for the cryptocurrency industry, which has been shaken by regulations by authorities due to volatility and other reasons, to rebound.
