비트코인(BTC)은 10월 19일(한국시간) 현재 지난해 11월 기록한 사상 최고가 69,000달러 대비 약 72% 폭락한 19,200달러선에서 거래되고 있다. 하지만 암호화폐 전문가들이 잇따라 추가 폭락을 경고하고 있다.

암호화폐 전문 미디어 데일리호들에 따르면 약 20.4만 트위터 팔로워를 보유한 암호화폐 트레이더 겸 투자자 레이저(Rager)가 최근 자신의 트위터를 통해 "비트코인이 19,000달러선 지지를 지켜내고 있긴 하지만 수요가 고갈되어 가고 있다. 이는 2018년 9월 비트코인이 6,000달러선에서 3,000달러대까지 폭락하기 몇 주 전 움직임과 유사하다"고 진단했다. 

암호화폐 전문 미디어 코인텔레그래프도 "2018년 겪었던 약세장과 최근 비트코인 가격 흐름은 유사한 양상을 띠고 있다. 당시 비트코인은 2018년 지속됐던 지지선인 6,000달러 근방에서 횡보하다가 중간선거 이후 급격하게 하락했다. 올해 비트코인 가격 움직임은 그때와 유사하다"며 "현재 비트코인은 19,000달러 부근의 수평 지지선 부근에서 횡보하고 있다. 오는 11월 8일(현지시간) 미국 중간선거 이후 2018년과 같은 붕괴 시나리오가 실현될 수 있다. 이 경우 11월, 12월에 비트코인 바닥이 나올 수 있을 것"이라고 설명했다. 

반면 데일리호들에 따르면 약 18.4만 명의 트위터 팔로워를 보유한 익명 암호화폐 애널리스트 알트코인셰르파(Altcoin Sherpa)가 최근 자신의 유튜브 채널에서 "비트코인은 지난 2021년 강세장 시작 전 모습과 유사한 추세를 나타내고 있다"고 진단했다. 그는 "지난 2018년 6,000달러선에서 3,000달러대까지 폭락했던 모습과 달리 강세장 시작 전의 2021년 여름과 지금의 가격 움직임이 유사성을 띠고 있다. 개인적으로 비트코인이 지금 바닥을 다지고 있다고 생각한다. 가격이 지금보다 25% 더 낮아진다고 해도 놀라진 않을 것이다. 이 경우 비트코인은 16,000달러 부근까지 하락할 수 있지만 2018년 때처럼 10,000달러 수준까지 하락하진 않을 것"이라고 설명했다.

According to the Daily News, a cryptocurrency trader and investor Rager, who has about 20.4 million Twitter followers, recently tweeted, "Although Bitcoin is keeping its support at the $19,000 level, demand is running out. This is similar to the move a few weeks before Bitcoin plunged from $6,000 to $3,000 in September 2018, he diagnosed.
Coin Telegraph, a media outlet specializing in cryptocurrency, also said, "The bear market experienced in 2018 and the recent price trend of Bitcoin have a similar pattern. At that time, Bitcoin was drifting near $6,000 which was the support line that lasted in 2018, but fell sharply after the midterm elections. This year's Bitcoin price movement is similar to that time, he said. "Currently, Bitcoin is moving sideways near the horizontal support line of around $ 19,000. The same collapse scenario as in 2018 could be realized after the U.S. midterm elections on November 8 (local time). In this case, Bitcoin's bottom could come out in November and December, he explained.
On the other hand, according to the Daily News, Altcoin Sherpa, an anonymous cryptocurrency analyst with about 18.4 million Twitter followers, recently diagnosed on his YouTube channel that "Bitcoin is showing a similar trend to what it looked like before the start of the bullish market in 2021. "Unlike the fact that it plunged from $6,000 to $3,000 in 2018, the current price movement is similar to the summer of 2021 before the start of the bullish market. Personally, I think Bitcoin is now bottoming out. I wouldn't be surprised if the price was 25% lower than it is now. In this case, Bitcoin could fall to around $16,000, but it will not fall to the $10,000 level as it did in 2018," he explained.
