비트코인 가격이 2024년 8월 27일 한때 30분 만에 2000달러 이상 떨어지는 등 가격 상승 동력을 찾지 못하고 급락하고 있다. 불과 이틀 전만 하더라도 6만5000달러를 찍으며 상승세를 탔던 것과는 상반된 모습이다. 미국가상화폐 거래소 코인베이스에 따르면 비트코인 1개당 가격은 2024년 8월 26일 보다 5.76% 떨어진 5만9527달러(7917만원)에 거래를 끝냈다. 2024년 8월 27일 6만1000달러선 아래에서 움직이다가 30분 만에 매물이 쏟아지면서 2000달러 이상 떨어지며 5만8000달러대 까지 급락하는 모습을 보이기도 했다.

 

앞서 미국 기준금리 인하가 가시화되고 미 대선에서 로버트 케네디 주니어 후보의 트럼프 전 대통령 지지로 당선 기대감이 높아지면서 6만5000달러선을 터치하며 큰 폭으로 상승세를 탔다. 이후 상승 여력을 잃으면서 하락세를 면치 못하고 있다. 코인 전문 매체 코인데스크는 이와 관련해 “갑작스러운 매물 폭탄에 대한 이유는 알려지지 않았다”면서 “비트코인이 주말 랠리 이후 차익 실현이 이틀째 이어지면서 가상화폐 시장 전반에 부담을 주고 있다”고 분석했다. 이같은 비트코인의 급격한 변동성은 다소 의외로 판단된다. 다만 아직까지는 5만5000달러~6만5000달러 사이의 박스권에 내에서의 변동성이라는 점에서 좀 더 추이를 지켜볼 필요는 있어보인다는 분석이다.

Earlier, as the US base interest rate cut became visible and expectations for a victory for former President Trump increased due to candidate Robert Kennedy Jr.'s support for former President Trump, it rose sharply, touching the $65,000 mark. Since then, it has been unable to avoid a downward trend as it has lost its upward momentum. Regarding this, CoinDesk, a specialized coin media outlet, analyzed, "The reason for the sudden selling bomb is unknown," and "Bitcoin's profit-taking continues for the second day after the weekend rally, putting a burden on the overall cryptocurrency market." This rapid volatility of Bitcoin is judged to be somewhat unexpected. However, the analysis is that it seems necessary to watch the trend a little more since the volatility is still within the box range of $55,000 to $65,000.
