코인원이 예치금 이용료율을 2.3%로 상향했습니다.

국내 가상자산 원화거래소 코인원은 2024년 8월 20일부터 이용자 원화 예치금에 연 2.3%의 이용료율을 적용해 지급하겠다고 2024년 8월19일 밝혔습니다. 앞서 가상자산 이용자 보호법이 시행된 2024년 7월 19일 코인원은 연 1% 예치금 이용료율을 적용해 이용자들에게 지급하겠다고 밝혔는데 오늘 1.3% 포인트를 인상했습니다.

 

변경된 이용료율은 내일 예치금 이용료 계산부터 적용됩니다. 가상자산법이 시행된 후 원화거래소들은 이용자들이 예치한 원화에 일종의 이자격인 이용료를 지급해야 하는 의무가 생겼습니다. 법 시행 시작과 동시에 5대 원화거래소들이 고객 유치를 위해 이용료율을 앞다퉈 올리며 한 차례 '예치금의 난'이 일어나기도 했습니다. 현재 예치금 이용료율은 코빗이 2.5%로 가장 높고, 빗썸이 2.2%, 업비트는 2.1%, 고팍스가 1.3%입니다. 이번 이용료율 인상으로 코인원은 코빗에 이어 두 번째로 높은 수준의 예치금 이용료를 지급하게 됐습니다.

Coinone, a local virtual asset exchange, announced on August 19, 2024, that it will pay users' KRW deposits at a rate of 2.3% per year from August 20, 2024. Earlier on July 19, 2024, when the Virtual Asset User Protection Act took effect, Coinone said it would pay users at a rate of 1% per year, but today it increased by 1.3 percentage points.

 

The changed fee rate will be applied from tomorrow's deposit fee calculation. After the virtual asset law took effect, Korean won exchanges were obliged to pay interest rates to the won deposited by users. At the beginning of the law's enforcement, the five major won exchanges scrambled to raise their fee rates to attract customers, causing a "deposit crisis." Currently, the deposit rate is the highest at 2.5 percent in Covit, 2.2 percent in Bithumb, 2.1 percent in Upbit, and 1.3 percent in GoFax. The increase in the rate will make Coinone pay the second highest deposit fee after Covit.
